4th July - 10th July
This is my first entry in this segment, something I hope to keep updated at least Bi-weekly. I also plan on doing a first half of 2026 recap and showcase for you all, as this has been an amazing year of opportunities and growth, and would love the chance to share it with you.
4th of July, also my mothers birthday, was the biggest day in terms of sales we have had at Lost Wax. I had previously spent the week in East Anglia, arranging deals with the always supportive Better on Vinyl, based in Framlingham. Chris, the owner, has been an amazing figure and supporter since I started this vinyl business, and always has great stock to supply for me. I had 3 days to turn around and sort out around 80 new arrivals, whilst also working at the Eithad stadium, and managed to just about get the work complete the evening before. This meant I brought around 5 crates worth of vinyl to Campfield market, the most I’ve ever managed. We were doubly lucky as the vendor next to our table pulled out last minute, meaning we had to tables to fill with wax. If I hadn’t managed to clear all the new vinyl in the days prior, we wouldn’t have been able to pull it off. This led to many new faces coming to buy vinyl, and us clearing our previous sales record. Thanks to my ever supportive house mate Jude, sticking around with me and sorting transportation. Jude has been a massive figure in the growth of this business and I can’t thank him enough. We are back at Campfield market this weekend (11th July), this time stationed on Grape Street.
Sunday the 5th I travelled to London for a 5 hour studio session with the Legend PAB, to finish off our album, which will soon be ready to share to the public. It was as ever an honour and surreal experience. I currently am typing this with Stan Fara writing to one of my beats behind me, as we brace for the final stages of finishing our joint project, and prepare for our first show in Manchester, opening for KJADE at Gullivers NQ, on July the 25th.
Thank you to my ever loving partner Jessica, who has been with me all week as we build this website and Discogs sight, we managed to get around 150 records listed and documented, and are already making sales. We are only just beginning at Lost Wax, and I’m so excited for the future. I am also going to be at Greenhouse Book shop in Stockport, Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday, selling books and vinyl alike, so if you are around, do come and say hello!
Jules.
